the library

We funded and built the library at Bahir Dar in 2000. In a place where people live in crowded living conditions, its vital for the education of students and young people for them to have a place to read and study. There is space for 115 students to study inside and a further 196 under canopies outside. These are always well-used. We have a great staff team, with eleven on the staff. Thanks to our collaboration with the Centre for Global Equality we have arranged funding of £20,000 for the library. This covers all csts for the coming year and we have opened a new childrens library on the site. Great news for the young people of Bahir Dar.
