We have developed our former orphanage at Bishoftu, fifty km south of Addis Ababa site into a training centre. With support from funders we have a well-equipped training and conference centre. There is a meeting hall and restaurant, smaller meeting rooms and accommodation for 40 people, all in peaceful grounds. We use it to bring staff and colleagues from around the country for training, meetings with partners, and it also offers a place for visitors to stay, and outside users to rent. It has generated profits of £50,000 which we used to build new housing for internally displaced persons. This is social enterprise at its best.
